I used to LOVE buying things from online auction sites. It was almost an addiction. (A very fun and thrilling addiction.) There’s just something about the thrill of finding the perfect item and outbidding other addicts like me to finally win it.

I haven’t done much online bidding lately, but one site that caught my eye recently is quicksales. The auction is based in Australia and is, for now, only available to Australians. But with any luck, they’ll branch out and bring their revolutionary online auction formula to the rest of the world!

quicksales boasts more than 500,000 members and currently lists nearly two million items. All items have a “Buy Now” price, but you can also “make an offer” to the seller to try to get the item for a lower price. I did a little window shopping (or “Windows” shopping), and here are just a few items I would LOVE to own right now.

The awesome selection of items is nice, but another perk is NO sellers’ fees. That’s right, ZERO. The announcement from quicksales that they were abolishing the fees came earlier this year on the same day that a certain other online auction site increased its seller fees from 7.9 percent to 9.9 percent.

So what’s that mean for sellers on quicksales? It means the money you make from selling your items is all yours, which is really how it should be, don’t you think?
