Thanksgiving is just a couple of weeks away. Aside from getting to spend time with family and the turkey coma that follows, I can’t wait for my mom’s delicious pumpkin pie! I love pie. It’s my favorite dessert and the thing I get most excited about every Thanksgiving. But my mom’s pumpkin pies…they are the amazing! She makes them from scratch (from actual pumpkins!). I could easily eat a whole pie myself in one sitting. I can’t even eat the frozen pumpkin pie anymore. She spoiled me.
Although I won’t be sharing her recipe here (sorry, family secret), I am sharing 50 Thanksgiving pie recipes that you can try your hand at. Trust me, making a pie from the freezer section of your grocery store pales in comparison to those made from scratch.

My girls are sitting here with me. My oldest is in love with teh Black Bottom and my 7 yr old loves them all. She isn’t picky.
I am a dutch apple or pumpkin kind of girl but that Caramel Apple in the picture looks amazing!
Anything made from scratch instead of frozen or store-bought is always better. Thank you for the great suggestions. 🙂
When you say Thanksgiving; I don’t think of turkey…I think of PIE! We don’t make pies very often, because they are definitely a “special occasion” dessert. Oh this list is awesome. I am going to have to try some of these this holiday.
I definitely agree. Store-bought/frozen pies are soooo not as good as homemade! I don’t want them if they aren’t real, and that includes crusts from scratch, too!
Yum!! Thanks for all the links.
My stomach LITERALLY growled reading this list! LOVE IT!!! 🙂
HOLY COW!!! That’s a lot of pie! I’m going to share this with my mom, she’ll love it!

Who told you that making pies is my weakness? Now I am going to have to add some of these to my baking to-do list for the holiday season. My family is going to be so happy! I am going to definitely gain 10 (15) pounds this holiday season. This is against my goal plan. lol
Oh my goodness! The sweet train has arrived! Looks like I will be trying pie recipes well into the new year!
This is so perfect! I discovered a couple days ago that I was hosting Thanksgiving and was just thinking, “What should I make for dessert?” This post will be so helpful–thanks for sharing!
