Movie night in our house goes a little something like this: We spend an hour debating which movie to watch (he likes horror and drama and I like comedy and romance) and then, when we finally reach a consensus, we debate the dessert options.

Our most recent movie night was a “whole family” night, which means our three-year-old joined the party. She also won the movie debate (Despicable Me), but we all won when it came to the dessert, because I decided to make TWIX Bites Caramel Popcorn Pops.

Making popcorn pops is a cinch (see recipe at the bottom of this entry), and part of the simplicity comes from the TWIX Bites. I picked mine up at Walmart in the candy aisle.

When I spotted the TWIX Bites, I know I had to have them. They’ve got all the caramel, rich chocolate and cookie crunch of a full-sized TWIX bar, but in a bite-sized shape! They’re made by Mars, which means you can also get 3 MUSKETEERS Bites, MILKY WAY Bites and SNICKERS Bites, and all of which are also available at Walmart.

If you go, don’t forget to print out the coupon at the very bottom of this entry! You can also get a coupon good for $3 off any TWO bags of 6-ounce Mars brand bites on

Even though the movie was one we had seen 14 times in the past six months, movie night was still a lot of fun. A big part of that fun was the TWIX Bites Caramel Popcorn Balls. As you can see, our little minion loved them!

As for making the popcorn balls, it couldn’t be more simple…and fun! They turned out great, and we definitely plan to #EatMoreBites again in the very near future. Maybe I’ll make another batch during our next movie night. I’m super excited, because it’s my turn to pick the movie! Any suggestions?

I already knew it was heaven and nirvana mixed together, and that the devil was a liar at the same time. I would devour all of these and tell my family something had happened to the snack and it was not able to be served to them because of it. YUM

  13. Christy says:

What size bag of twin bites does this call for??? Also what kind of microwave popcorn? What flavor?

    • Momma on the Rocks Momma on the Rocks says:

Christy – The TWIX Bites come in 7 oz bags. I used movie theater butter popcorn, because I like it salty. You can use whichever style you prefer.

  14. laiana biela says:

what type of popcorn….buttered or not?

    • Momma on the Rocks Momma on the Rocks says:

You can use any kind you like. I used movie theater butter, which made them a little more savory. If you like a sweeter treat, then I would try an unbuttered popcorn.

  15. What a creative way to use the TWIX Bites! I’m sure TWIX Bites flavored popcorn tastes even better than traditional caramel corn! #client
