I might have mentioned it in the past, but I LOVE FOOTBALL. My favorite part about football season (besides the football, of course) is the food, especially when it comes to doing some tailgating in the parking lot during our annual trip to Pittsburgh to watch our beloved Steelers. This past Sunday, we watched the game at home, but I still whipped up some delish tailgating grub thanks to a trip to Sam’s Club.

While I was there, I picked up some Tyson Buffalo Chicken Strips, which I turned into the MVP of our Sunday afternoon football feast. The breaded chicken strips are drenched in delicious buffalo sauce and seasoning, with just the right amount of “kick” for those of you who might like a little spiciness. They’re versatile, too, which means you can enjoy them on sandwiches, cut them up in a salad, or all sorts of other ways.

For our gridiron meal, I cooked up some of the strips on the grill (yes, you can grill them!) and served them on a delicious multigrain ciabatta roll (also from Sam’s Club).

After only 10 or 15 minutes on the grill, the strips were ready for the bun! Although you can cook them in the oven, I HIGHLY recommend grilling them. The open flame gives them a nice, smoky flavor and really brings out the tailgating appeal!

The finishing touch on the “Tyson Touchdown Sandwich” (as my husband called it) was a heaping spoonful of creamy coleslaw served right on top of the chicken strips. The coleslaw was my idea, and it was a good one because it provided a nice balance with the spicy kick of the Tyson Buffalo Strips.

They’re also simple. No need to mess around with icky raw chicken, which can be a pain to keep properly chilled en route to the stadium. Plus, they’re already breaded and seasoned, which means you don’t need to worry about slopping sauce all over your chicken (and your grill) while you’re cooking it!

If you’d like to taste Tyson Buffalo Chicken Strips for yourself, check out the Tyson demo happening at Sam’s Club locations nationwide on October 5. Tyson samples will be available (of course!) and tables will be set up for fans to play finger football. AND the first 200 people who attend the demo will get a FREE finger football take home kit!

If you attend the demo, be sure to download the Tyson demo app on your smartphone to enhance your experience at the demo. Also feel free to follow Tyson on Facebook or Twitter for product updates and special offers!
