Who wants to slave over a hot stove in 90+ degree weather. Not me! Here’s a light summer recipe that is super easy and super delicious. Today’s recipe: Grilled ham and pineapple. Savory. Sweet. Super duper easy and fast. Delicious.
We served it with frozen veggies, but I think this would pair nicely with an ear of corn or baked potato (on the grill of course).
- 4 tbsp dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp maple syrup (I used pankcake syrup)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/8 tsp cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 precooked ham steak (about 2 pounds and 1″ thick)
- Canned pineapple slices
Combine all ingredients up until ham steak. Brush sauce on ham. Throw the ham steak and pineapple on the grill until heated through.
TIP: The first time we did this, we coated the ham steak with all of the sauce, but the sauce was so delicious that the next time, we used half to coat the ham steak before grilling and half as a dipping sauce!
Have leftovers? Slice ham thin and use on sandwiches for an easy lunch!
