There are five food groups that form the basis of a healthy diet, but in our house, the two food groups that reign supreme are chicken nuggets and French fries. I love them, my husband loves them and our little one absolutely adores them. So when I discovered Tyson Chicken Fries during a recent trip to Sam’s Club, I knew I had to give them a try.

Like most of my new purchases at Sam’s Club, it was a free sample and demo of the chicken fries that caught my husband’s attention (one of six samples he grabbed that day). What’s nice about the chicken fries is that they’re simple. Just 15 minutes in the oven, and you’ve got a great snack or part of a great meal.

They’re also versatile. You can cook them on their own with a side dish and some dipping sauces. You can cut them up and put them on a salad. Or you can do what I did: Bake them and make them the star ingredient in a delicious Thai chicken wrap.

The Tyson Chicken Fries are the star of the Thai chicken wrap, but the knockout flavor punch belongs to the spicy peanut butter sauce. To make it, you’ll need some peanut butter, soy sauce, honey (or agave nectar), lime juice, and sesame seeds. The kick in the sauce is provided by cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes and Sriracha sauce. (Feel free to hold the Sriracha sauce if you don’t have any, but it’s delicious, so you should definitely try it!)

After the sauce is made, it’s time to start getting ready for the wrap. For ours, we used whole grain tortillas, lettuce, shredded carrots, cucumber, and peanuts.

If the Tyson Chicken Fries are the star and the spicy peanut butter sauce is the flavor punch, the “best supporting actor” role goes to the veggies and peanuts. The cucumber is delicious in these wraps and provides a nice balance to the spicy peanut butter sauce, and the peanuts provide a nice crunch and texture throughout.

Only 15 minutes in the oven and the Tyson Chicken Fries are done! What I like about the big bags of chicken fries at Sam’s Club is that the bag actually contains two separate bags of fries (each containing more than enough fries for a meal).

Now it’s time to wrap this thing up! You can drizzle on some of the spicy peanut butter sauce or, for a more subtle peanut butter taste, you can add a thin layer of the sauce to the tortilla before adding the other ingredients. The verdict from my chicken nugget and French fry-loving family? They loved the wraps and we’re already looking forward to our next Tyson Chicken Fries-inspired meal.
