SUMMER FLASHBACK: FAVORITE CHILDHOOD MOVIE STAR

It’s time for another summer flashback.Created by Tammy’s Two Cents, Summer Flashback is a time to shake the cobwebs off your childhood memories and reminisce about things you used to love.

This week we’re talking about our favorite movie stars from our childhood. This wasn’t an easy choice for me, but I have to go with Julia Roberts. The first movie I ever saw with her was Steel Magnolias and I absolutely loved it. (I still cannot believe my husband hasn’t seen that movie – this coming from the man who willingly watched Titanic and will watch it when he finds it on TV.) If you haven’t seen this movie, go rent it! Just keep the tissues handy.

Anyway, from Steel Magnolias to Pretty Woman and even more recent movies like Erin Brockovich (one of my absolute favorite movies ever) and Eat Pray Love, you can’t help but adore Julia Roberts. Her infectious laugh and witty charm reels you right in. What I like most about her though is that she is a very classy woman, one whose face is rarely splattered across the front of tabloids (in other words she’s not a media whore).

Who is your favorite movie star from your childhood?

  1. I love Julia Roberts also!!

  2. I remember thinking Alicia Silverstone was SOOOOO cool in all of those Aerosmith videos and I went and saw all of her movies. I also loved Winona Ryder…Heathers is such a classic. Oh and of course the Brat Pack…I loved Pretty in Pink and Breakfast Club.

  3. Oh and Lucas, Mermaids, Beetle Juice! I loved Winona when she was normal! She would have to be my favorite from childhood!

  4. That’s a good one too! 🙂 I love Julia’s laugh!

  5. I have watched every Julia Roberts! Such a big fan.

  6. Tom Hanks! I loved him back when he was on Bosom Buddies when I was maybe 4 years old, and I still absolutely love him.

  8. I always loved Grease! I think my best friend and I watched it every weekend! LOL! Good memories!

  9. My man loves Titanic, too! So odd. Lol. My favorite from when I was a child was probably Amy Jo Johnson. She was the pink power ranger. And therefore awesome.

  10. Tricia @ Take 10 says:

And Stepmom and Notting Hill and Ocean’s Eleven….the list goes on and on…I can’t not love her!
