Yopa Peach Granola 95mm-012813
I have a love-hate relationship with spring. On one hand, I love it because the beautiful weather means getting outside, taking long walks, playing in the backyard, going to baseball games, trips to the beach, and dozens of other fun family activities. Actually, I guess you could say it’s mostly a loving relationship.

The only thing I don’t look forward to each April is saying goodbye to my comfy sweatshirts and, as a result, being forced to pay closer attention to what I eat.

As I kick off my annual warm-weather diet, I’m always on the prowl for new meals and snacks. The snacks aren’t just for me, but also for our two-year-old. That diet usually includes yogurt, and this year I’ve started dabbling in Greek yogurt. Our little one used to love the YoBaby yogurts and I’ve always liked the YoCrunch yogurts, so I naturally took a closer look at their Yopa! authentic Greek yogurt.

What’s nice about Yopa! yogurt versus other Greek yogurts is that they’re committed to using farm-fresh, regionally-sourced milk from farms close to where the yogurt is made. They also offer all sorts of fun toppings, including whole grain granola, toasted Blue Diamond almonds and dark chocolate. It’s a perfect balance of yogurt, flavors and toppings. Or as they like to call it, “Balance Perfected.”

Other perks of adding Greek yogurt to your new spring diet include:

  • Great source of protein (each 3.5 oz cup contains at least 16% of your recommended daily allowance)
  • Good source of calcium
  • Zero grams of cholesterol and trans fat
  • Made with 5 cultures and 3 probiotics
  • No preservatives or artificial colors (only one product has artificial flavor – vanillin)

I really like the yogurt – especially the peach with nine whole grain granola – and so does our two-year-old. As for my husband, even though he’s “not a yogurt man” (his words, not mine), he actually seemed to like it, too.

So yes, if you’re having a little trouble planning a balanced menu of meals and snacks, I definitely recommend adding a little Yopa! Greek yogurt to the mix!

Speaking of balance, gold medalist Gabby Douglas is an expert, and she’s challenging you to take the Yopa! Taste Challenge where you can win a variety of prizes, including $10,000! Just “like” Yopa! on Facebook for a chance to win.

I was selected for participation in this campaign as a member of Clever Girls Collective.
