Only 19 more days until the Big Game! The reason I’m so excited about it — and counting down the days — is because my favorite part of the game (besides the commercials) is the food. I go ALL OUT every year, planning the best assortment of snacks and goodies. This year’s spread includes some classics, but I’ve also added a few new treats to the menu, including Hot Pockets and sweets like Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups Minis.

I picked both up at Walmart—the Hot Pockets in the frozen foods section and the Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups Minis are in the candy section. Here’s a tip: you won’t find the candy in the grocery section. It’s down by the greeting cards, which (if your Walmart is like mine) is near the pharmacy.

I’ve got a lot of food planned for the party. Some of it is “fancier” things with salmon and slightly expensive cheeses, but I always like to keep some tried-and-true guaranteed hits on the table, and that’s where the Hot Pockets come in. The Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups Minis are also popular. Both snacks are great for adults, but they’re also a hit with the kids!

When it comes to Hot Pockets, we like to eat them for snacks at home, but for parties—yes, they can be a fantastic party food—I like to cut them up into quarters to make them easier for partygoers to grab and nibble on.

I grabbed a 12-pack of the Pepperoni Pizza with Garlic Buttery Seasoned Crust Hot Pockets and I plan to serve them with an assortment of dips. In addition to being really easy to make and being really tasty, I love how Hot Pockets are made with quality ingredients. They’ve got premium meats, 100 percent real cheese and they’re a great source of protein. (It’s no wonder they call them “Snacks That Satisfy”!)

While the Hot Pockets have me covered in the savory department, I also like to serve a few sweets at my Big Game party. That’s where the Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups Minis come in. These little candies take the classic peanut butter cup to a new level. Smooth, super peanut-buttery Butterfinger filling is mixed with just the right amount of crunchy pieces and it’s all surrounded by milk chocolate. Like the folks at Butterfinger like to say, “The cup just got crunchy!”
